Products/services: The Bavarian Virtual University (vhb) is a network which consists of all state universities and universities of applied sciences of Bavaria as well as further Bavarian universities. It supports and co-ordinates the use of online courses among the member universities. Students of the member universities can use the courses free of charge and have thus the possibility to organise their studies more flexible with regard to place and time. In addition, the users of the vhb courses learn how to use web-based trainings. Moreover vhb disburdens the member universities with regard to growing numbers of students and a tense budget situation. vhb offers approximately 320 courses in the following fields of study: business studies, business informatics, economics, computer sciences, engineering, natural sciences, health, law, key qualifications, cultural and social sciences, social work, languages and teacher training.
