They aim at a better understanding of functions, interactions and regularisations of human genes and genetic products. By taking into consideration the specific strengths of Bavaria, new methods and topics are taken up and worked on. Today the modern genetics operates with new statistical methods for the modelling of data in order to predict the reactions of biological systems to environmenatl or genetic changes. The projects of the Bavarian genome research network work are geared to provide better understanding right on this issue.
