Products/services: The State Archaeological Collection, founded in 1885 and currently closed, has five departments: Prehistory, Roman Times, Middle Ages and Modern Times, the Mediterranean Collection and Numismatics. Extensive depots preserve the rich holdings of archaeological finds from Bavaria until the museum reopens. In the nine branch museums distributed over the Bavarian administrative districts, about 6000 exhibits explain the developmental history of mankind in the respective regions.
