    • The SOG is a private and non-commercial association. Its members come from a wide range of backgrounds, including scholars, politicians, business people and representatives of the media. The main office is located at Munich. The main task of the SOG is to foster and enhance the relationship between the Federal Republic of Germany and the countries in Southeastern Europe in the fields of science, economy and culture, and to deepen the knowledge about the historical and recent developments in this region.
