    • Products/services:
    • The subjects of the task force interoperational systems are communication technology, software engineering as well as services and applications. Focus areas are sensor networks, speech and data networks, multimedia networks, localisation in communication networks. Our competencies allow us developing wireless communication systems, networks and network crossings, developing digital hardware including the integration of radio frequency circuits as well as developing services in networks and application software.

    • Core competencies:
    • Within their research and development efforts the Communication Networks Department implements innovative wireless and heterogenic information and communication systems.

The topics are wireless voice and data transmission, self-organizing sensor networks, multimedia networks, and positioning in cellular networks. For the design of communication systems simulation and test tools are developed.

The Communication Networks Department at Forschungsfabrik Nürnberg functions as part of the new research focus "localization and communication” of the Fraunhofer IIS. There are excellent technical equipment and modern premises available.

      Our Working areas are:

      Protocol Development
      Hardware Development
      Positioning in communication networks
      Services and Applications
      System solutions
