    • The Bayerische Elektrizitätswerke GmbH (BEW) is a 100% subsidiary of the Lechwerke AG which in turn is a majority subsidiary of the RWE group. The BEW is the largest electricity producer from hydroelectric power plants in the bavarian Swabia. The electricity production occurs in 35 own and operation-controlled power stations on the Danube, Lech, Iller, Wertach and Günz. In addition, 8 thermal plants are operated for electricity and heat generation. Besides BEW offers services in project engineering as well as operation management of hydroelectric power plants in the ranges of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and hydraulic engineering.
